AlessandroPennella

Born in Monza in 1975, with roots in Puglia. The tattooing he chose is the classic kind: traditional and Japanese, few colours, little but right.

In England, at a studio window in Chapel Ash, he sees traditional flash for the first time. His first piece follows soon after: a sailing ship on a sailor’s arm, lettered Calator, traveller.

He opens Tattoo Island, his Italian home. Today it is a private studio: one artist, one client at a time.

Every year he works between international conventions and guest spots. He has tattooed in Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Taiwan, China, Japan, New Zealand, Australia and the United States.
